Critical Mass is an annual online program that connects photographers from around the world with leading voices in the field. Texas Photographic Society is pleased to announce Watershed, a themed juried exhibition exploring water as subject, symbol, tool, and essential aspect of life. Water is never a neutral subject (especially in Texas). It shapes where cities grow, how land is worked, and how communities endure. It is also an essential part of the photographic process. Who We Are: Working Assumptions invites people to observe and reflect on the everyday give-and-take of family and care through visual storytelling, because creating and sharing first-person photostories contributes to the well-being of individuals, families, and communities. We work specifically with pictures and words, offering educational programs for high school and college students, supporting visual storytellers through our grant programs, and bringing stories to the public through digital platforms and in-person experiences.

We invite you to take part in the fifth edition of the Monochromatic Awards. We are looking for the best monochromatic photography of 2026.

This competition is open to all interpretations of monochromatic photography: from traditional black and white to grayscale, sepia, cyanotype, or any other variation based on a single tone. What matters is how you use that limitation to build an image.

IX International Mini Print Cantabria 2026, “Open Sea. Reality, imagination and poetics” Award

The Award is open to all printmaking disciplines, admitting digital printed artwork and monotype as well.

The general theme is “Open Sea. Reality, imagination and poetics”, but this does not imply that the artwork must be figurative. All kinds of aesthetic languages are admitted.

The image and the paper must not exceed 20 x 20 cm. (7,8” x 7,8”)

There is no minimum image or paper size.

You can submit up to 3 artworks.

MUUS Collection is an American 20th century photography collection that preserves, researches, and reveals work from the archives it owns and represents.

As a part of our mission to transform our archives through new interpretations and scholarship, MUUS Collection is launching our first MUUS Collection Research Fellowship to invite a curator or academic to spend time in the archives over the course of a year and develop an exhibition or publication concept offering a new perspective. In addition to time spent in the archives, where the Research Fellow will be invited to examine physical works and ephemera (including journals, contact sheets, and cameras) in addition to the totality of each photographer’s photographic collections, the Research Fellow will benefit from our new MUUSEUM online research portal.

In 2025 I published a compilation zine called Men Asleep which included 21 photographers’ photographs of men sleeping. I’m expanding this project into a book and exhibition and holding a call for entry for additional photographs of men asleep.
