happy new year!
The New Year is always a time for reflection and goal setting…both of which I’ve never been too good at. I look back at this year with much appreciation for my students who have become friends and inspirations, for all the photographers that keep me visually fascinated, informed, and energized, for my L.A. group of amazing women photographer friends that support each other and never pass up a good martini, for everyone that has taken time to comment on my work and made me feel connected to the world, for the special connections that have grown into long distance friendships….
My goals this year are to get back to making work, put less focus on the marketing–portfolio reviews, submissions, etc– and rethink what I spend my marketing dollars on. I would love to get better at Photoshop, actually learn how to use my digital camera, work at some interesting lighting, maybe even get a decent printer…and get filled up with the joy of creating.
Meanwhile, how about joining Riley (my dog) and me in a glass of champagne….may this new year bring you all things wonderful…..like a new president, peace, happiness, and laughter.
