A still life is one way to describe Marian Drew’s narratives of deceased Australian animals created in the style of Renaissance paintings.

I managed to get out to some galleries in Los Angeles with the wonderful Liza Cowan, owner and director of Pine Street Works in Burlington, Vermont.

South African photographer, Pieter Hugo’s, images of the Hyena Men are everywhere these days, but I continue to be in awe of this work.

What’s not to like about Tony Mendoza’s work. He’s got dogs, cats, flowers, and great stories. All explored from his wonderful point of view.

I have passed e-mails back and forth for the past several years with a French Photographer named Liberto Macarro.
