Bill Schwab
The new issue of Fraction Magazine has hit our inboxes and there are some haunting, pictorial-in-feeling landscapes by two photographers that I found especially lovely. This first image by Bill Schwab, from his Landscapes work, is a knock-out. He also has a wonderful statement from which I quote, “That relatively simple chemical reaction on top of my mother’s washing machine was the spark leading to the process having become my life in so many ways. It feds my family, marks my time, shows me where I’ve been and how I’ve felt. It is my station, my identity.”

Samual Portera’s work of Wetlands reflects the beauty of the Louisiana wetlands since his relocation to the Northshore after Hurricane Katrina. His site contains several bodies of work about the devastation of Katrina.
