I’m sorry that I’m missing James Mollison’s current show, “The Disciples”, at the Hasted Hunt Gallery in New York City through August 16th. I can distinctly remember attending a Madonna concert and looking around at women in leather jeans, with botoxed faces and big blonde hair, thinking, “Madonna would be horrified to know that this is her audience.” But seeing her lately in the news, I’m not so sure. Mr. Mollison has photographed wannabe fans at a variety of concerts. The disciples in order of appearance follow below: Casualties, Merle Haggard, Jimmy Buffet, 50 Cent, Polly Parton, Marilyn Manson, and Rod Stewart.
