Rafael Fuchs
Born in Tel Aviv and now living in Brooklyn, Rafael Fuchs is an observer and a character. Featured in the most recent issue of Visura Magazine, Rafael has a terrific series, I am an Amerikan, which he has made into a book.
“I am a collector. When I was a kid I used to collect stamps. I have stamps from all over the world. When I grew up I started collecting memories. I decided to take pictures since I knew that otherwise I’d forget.”
Rafael expresses himself not only as a fine art photographer, but also as a commercial photographer taking portraits of those making news. He also make videos and does an occasional appearance in front of the camera, including a stint as the European cousin of the Orgasm Guy on SNL. His range of interests and number of series is quite phenomenal.
