Olivo Barbieri
Olivo Barbieri’s new book, The Waterfall Project, is now on sale. I missed his show at the Yancey Richardson Gallery in New York last year, which also featured 2 short films about his projects. In addition to the Waterfall Project, Barbieri has photographed Las Vegas, Rome, and New York.
“Hovering in a helicopter some 300 to 500 feet above major cities, shooting them with a large-format camera that lets him focus on the structures of his choice, the Italian photographer Olivo Barbieri plays tricks with scale and focus to achieve a sense of eerie irreality. “
