David Wolf
continuing to look at photographer’s from Photolucida
Taking the time to explore the work of fellow photographers has it’s rewards. After visiting several of David Wolf’s wonderful series, I was delighted to revisit a photograph featured on the 1999 cover of a beloved, now defunct, issue of Photo Metro magazine. The image below has been etched in my memory from the moment I laid eyes on it.
“David Wolf’s photographs explore worlds both seen and imagined. Whatever his immediate subject, making photographs for Wolf is a process of transformation. “By making a connection between one’s inner life and the greater world,” David writes, “art transforms not only what we see but who we are. At the heart of this process is empathy.”
