Jan Q. Maschinski was born in 1983 in Dortmund, North Rhine-Westphalia. He apprenticed as a graphic design assistant in 2007 and graduated from the University of Applied Science in Bielefeld with a major in Art and Design, Photography in 2014. Since the then, Jan has been pursuing his Master’s degree in Photography at FH-Bielefeld.
The main subject of his work has been displaying of inner conditions on the outer body. In his pictures, he deals with mental and or psychical experiences.
His works are in municipal archives and private collections.
