Monika Merva
Continuing to look at Review LA participants. New York Photographers Monika Merva and Renate Aller are today’s posts.
Monika Merva was one of the many New Yorkers that took a break from the cold and attended Review LA. A freelance photographer for The New Yorker, Details, and The New York Times, Monika spends her free time on a personal project, which focuses on children living in a group home in Fot, Hungary.
City of Children was developed after discovering the institution on a trip home to visit her family in Hungary. Her poignant and perceptive work has been awarded and exhibited all over the world, and this body of work is currently on exhibit in Budapest.
