J. Wesley Brown on 52 Editions
My friend, J. Wesley Brown, is the featured photographer on 52 Editions this week. It’s a wonderful image and one of my favorites. And it’s only $45 for the next week, when the price goes up to $75.
This news gave me an excuse to revisit Wesley’s website where I found some gems I hadn’t seen before. Wesley is a master at night photography, and his images are full of mystery. One minute they can be interpreted with chilling vulerabilty, and the next, with the unique beauty of a city at night. Wesley’s work is currently on exhibition at the Carmel Art & Film Festival at the Sunset Center in Carmel, opening on October 8th and running through the 30th, and Mr, Brown was recently selected as a winner of the Magenta Foundation’s Emerging Photographer Competition 2009, Flash Forward.
