Swiss photographer, Yann Gross, won the Photo Espana Descubrimientos Award and was nominated as one of the 13 emerging artists of the year by American Photo Magazine, both in 2008. His commercial work is just as interesting as his personal work. His series, La Barbe, featuring beard growing contestants, and Lavina, capturing avalanches as they happen, are worth visiting (as is the rest of his work). He has a great ability to be in the right place at the right time.
