Meredith Allen
I’ve been a big fan of Meredith Allen’s work for years and have shared her Melting Pops series with many a friend.
Meredith has a new show opening which seems to be a natural progression of her colorful and conceptual exploration of things that often get over looked. Her 2005 series, Forever, featured thrift store toys in plastic bags.
Her new series, Trash, finds abstracted beauty in trash bags she has encountered in her neighborhood. The new exhibition opens October 24 and runs through November 29, 2008 at the Edward Thorp Gallery in New York.
