Daniel Jones: Close to Home
Bryant
Daniel Jones is a photographer based in Johnson City, Tennessee, but he is also a talented seer, producing a high quality of work that is remarkable for a photographer of 22. He graduated from Milligan College in 2012 with a BA degree in Fine Art Photography. Daniel and his wife currently live and work in Johnson City with their two greyhounds, Sylvie and Ollie. I am featuring work from his series, Close to Home, that is timeless and telling.
Close to Home
Close to Home started as a study of childhood and growing up in East Tennessee. Though the work has elements of study, the truly profound nature of this work is the relationships that have developed from it. These photographs are a tangible documentation of the lives of two families, but behind and beneath them is an entire world of memories, and an outpouring of love.
