Manufactured Landscapes

If for some reason, you have managed to miss this terrific documentary, get right on to your Netflix page and add Manufactured Landscapes by photographer, Edward Burtynsky to your queue. You’ll see a picture of contemporary China that will give you cause for alarm and amazement. The 8 minute-long opening sequence on a Chinese Factory floor is mesmerising. As one Amazon reviewer states, “(Ironically enough) I would like to buy this movie for everyone I know. It has changed the way I shop, the way I live. It has raised my consciousness and my understanding of the world. Try it, it is good.”
