Gloria Baker Feinstein, Changing Lives

I like to use the example of my talented friend, Gloria Baker Feinstein, as photographer that gives back. I met Gloria a number of years ago at Review Santa Fe where we recognized each others’ work from Shots Magazine. We connected immediately and have stayed in touch ever since. I have been incredibly proud of what she has achieved, not only as a photographer, but as a human being. After a trip to Africa in 2006, Gloria established a non-profit organization to assist Ugandan children who have become orphans due to HIV/AIDS and civil war, called Change The Truth. Gloria raises funds for the orphanage through donations, fundraisers, and by selling art and jewelry made at the orphanage. She has not only changed the truth, but changed lives. If you care to make a donation, you can do it here. She also has a blog, Gloria In Africa, that chronicles her trips to Africa, photography, and life in general.
