Lassal
German photographer, Lassal, recently featured on Burn Magazine, has an interesting project titled, A Stranger’s Wish. Lassal has lots of ongoing projects on his site worth exploring.
This project was born in Tuscany in August 2008, when I participated in one of David Alan Harvey’s workshops. My aim was to find a way to proceed with my personal postcard & communicaton project while combining it with David’s workshop title “On The Road”.
The concept was to turn around the idea of tourists writing picture postcards to family and friends, by asking complete strangers, residents of a place, to write me, the tourist, a picture postcard to my place in Germany. On this occasion I would be taking a portrait of them, which I would be sending them back in return.
